Despite their small and harmless appearance, boils have the potential to effect serious complications. In fact, the staphylococcus epidermidis or the staphylococcus aureus  bacteria can bring about the spread of infection that may lead to other types of diseases. Basic boils symptoms and signs

A boil does not normally spring up as a large bump right away. It often starts to appear in the form of a small spot. This spot is usually inflamed and elevated. After a few days or weeks, a boil ripens or grows a yellow head that contains pus. This yellow head is called pustule. Once the pustule appears, you may notice that boils symptoms include a painful or stinging sensation in the infected area. This is especially true if pressure is applied on it.

Some boils start as small, red lumps that are tender to the touch. Others are firm or hard. Besides feeling a painful sensation, you may feel that the infected area is often itchy.
